Credit Card Upgrade Q&A

{beginAccordion}

What if I haven’t received my new card yet?

If your new card has not arrived, please check your mailbox or with your joint owners. You may also contact our Member Resource Center at 800-342-8298. We’re open Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Did my card number change?

Yes. Your new card will include a new card number, expiration date, and security code.

Do I need to update recurring payments?

Yes. Because your card number is changing, you’ll need to update payment information anywhere your card is stored, including:

    • Streaming services
    • Online shopping accounts
    • Utility providers
    • Subscription services
    • Digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay (some digital wallets may update automatically)

The info in my digital wallet didn't update.

If you previously added your existing card to your digital wallet, the wallet will continue to function and is now linked to your new car. However, the wallet may continue displaying the old card image and card number.
To ensure the updated image and card information display correctly, please delete the old card from your wallet and then re-add the new card.

Are my rewards changing?

Eligible cardholders will see expanded rewards options as part of this upgrade. You still earn points at the same rate. On June 5, you'll be able to see your points inside Online & Mobile Banking by clicking Credit Card Member Rewards - it's under the "accounts" drop down menu.

Will my existing rewards points be transferred to the new card?

Yes. Existing rewards points will be transferred to the new Member Rewards system. We anticipate transferred points being available June 5.

Will my interest rate or payment due date change?

Your existing account terms generally remain the same unless you’ve been separately notified otherwise.

How can I tell if a message about my new card is legitimate?

First Financial Credit Union will never ask for your online banking password, secure access codes, or ask you to transfer money to “protect” your account. If you receive a suspicious call, text, or email, contact us directly.

Is my credit card Tap to Pay?

Yes, your credit card has contactless abilities and can be utilized at any merchant that accepts Tap to Pay.

Will my automatic payments carry over to my new card?

No. If you set up automatic payments via eZcardinfo.com, FFCU’s online/mobile banking, or FFCU’s online/mobile banking Bill Pay, they will not carry over. You will need to reestablish automatic payments prior to June 4 (your payment due date).

If you worked directly with a FFCU representative and signed the Credit Card ACH Auto Payment form, those automatic payments will carry over to your new card.

Where do I mail my credit card payments?

All payments can now be mailed to First Financial CU PO BOX 37035 Boone, IA 50037-0035.
