Logging Onto Online Banking

This step-by-step guide will help you access First Link Online Banking for the first time. After you log on for first time, you will not need to repeat these steps.

Step 1. Visit our Web site and go to the First Link online banking login section (it’s on the left side of the page). Enter your member number and password in the boxes. For first-time users, you password is typically set to the last four digits of your social security number.

Step 2. You will see and be asked to enter a security code in a box. Enter the code and click Submit.

Step 3. You will view a message asking you to register your information with online banking. To register, select the First Time button. Then, please provide your member number, last 4 digits of your Social Security number, and your birth date. After you enter the information, click the Submit button.

Step 4. You will now be asked to read the Online Banking User Agreement. If you agree to the terms listed, click on the I agree button.

Step 5. You will be asked to choose a new password. Enter your first name, last name and email address in the boxes provided. Enter your new password and confirm it by re-entering it in the box provided. Your new password needs to be at least 8 characters long. We recommend that you use alpha, numeric and symbol combinations; for example, abcd1248.

Note: when you change your First Link online banking password, your First Line telephone service password will no longer automatically change (and vice versa). For security purposes, we recommend that you have different passwords for each of these services if you use both of them.

Step 6. You will be asked to create three personal security questions as well as answers to these questions. These security questions/answers are created to verify your identity. The system will usually recognize the usual computer you log in from. However, if you log into the system from a new or different computer, the system will ask one of these security questions to verify your identity. These questions should be easy for you to answer. Some examples: What was my first dog’s name? What is my dad’s middle name? What was my high school mascot?
