CERTIFICATES
Your credit union offers Term Share Certificates. With a term share certificate, you agree to keep your money in the certificate for a certain length of time (the term). In return, you'll earn a better rate than you would on regular savings or money market accounts. Note that if you withdraw the certificate's funds before its maturity date, a penalty is assessed.
A $1,000 deposit is required, with terms from 3 months to 60 months. Higher rates are paid on deposits of $25,000 or more.
